About MCA

Vellore Institute of Technology Master Entrance Examination (VITMEE) is conducted for admission to MCA programme in VIT group of Institutions. VITMEE- July 2026 session will be conducted on 28th April 2026 (Tue) and 03rd May 2026 (Sun) across India. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for right and 'Zero' mark for the wrong answer. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. Those who score 'Zero' in total will be declared as 'Not qualified' and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The question paper for MCA will have 100 MCQs (Technical - 80 questions; English communication skills - 20; The question paper will be in English only.

Application Process

Step to be followed for new Application process
New User Registration

  • Valid e-mail address and active mobile number are required.
  • Enter all the relevant details carefully.
Verify via SMS and e-mail

  • An OTP will be sent to your Registered Indian Mobile Number for verification.
  • Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered email address.
  • All the correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only.
Login for Registered User

  • Login using the Login credentials as valid registered email id and password received to your email from VIT.
Fill the details of personal and education

  • Fill in the relevant fields carefully.
Payment of application fees

  • Application cost of Rs.1200/- should be paid through Netbanking/Credit card/Debit card.
  • Application cost is non-refundable.
Photo and Sign Upload

Photo uploading procedure:

The photograph must be in color and should be taken professionally in a studio with the following specifications:

  • The photograph must be taken against a light background. Only White/off-white background is preferred.
  • The photograph must show the full-frontal view without tilting of face, both ears visible, open eyes with neutral expression.
  • Make sure there is no glare from spectacles and no blur in the focus.
  • The file should be only in (.jpg or jpeg) format.
  • The file size of the photograph should be within 20 kB to 300 kB.
  • The photograph dimension should be of Width (300 to 400 pixels) X Height (400 to 550 pixels).
  • The photograph should not be too dark or too bright but should have optimum exposure.
  • The photograph should have only one face.
Signature uploading procedure:
  • Please draw a rectangular box of size 6 cm (width) X 2 cm (height) on a A4 white paper. Sign with dark blue or black pen within the box..
  • Scan the signature in (.jpeg) format using scanner and crop the image.
  • You can open the scanned signature image with MS Paint and crop the image at the rectangular box which was already marked and signed on the A4 white paper.
  • While cropping the image make sure that the dimension should be 3.5 cm (width) X 1.5 cm (height).
  • The scanned signature image size should be within 5kB to 150 kB.

  • X and XII Std. Marks statement.
  • Mark Sheets of all semesters - Year / Semester wise OR Consolidated.
  • Qualifying Degree / Provisional Certificate (If already received).

  • What is the eligibility of MCA?

    • Recognized Bachelor's Degree of Minimum three year duration in B.Sc(CS) / BCA / BSc(IT) with 60 % (as well as in class 10th & 12th) or 1st class in qualifying examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects at graduate level / 10+2 level.
    • Other equivalent degrees, with 60 % (as well as in class 10th & 12th) or 1st class in qualifying examination, which has been approved and recognized by approval authorities of which Computer Science and Mathematics as major subjects during their programme of study. [Equivalence certificate from the University/Institute has to be submitted for double/triple major degrees]

  • How can I get the MCA seat allotment?

    Based on your rank and choice of campus, you will be allocated a seat. After that, you will need to confirm your seat by paying the admission fee within the specified timeline. There is no management quota.

  • What is the MCA Placement procedure?

    Minimum 60% required for 10th, 12th standard and UG degree for placement.

  • Any option for change of campus?

    Seat will be allotted based on the rank and choice campus, after campus changes is not possible.

  • Is the Application fee is Refundable?

    Application fee is Non- Refundable.
