About VIT Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE)

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITMEE) is conducted for admission to postgraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITMEE will be conducted on 20th and 24th April 2025 at designated centres across India. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours. Candidates can appear only once for VITMEE-2025. All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. Those who score '0' in total will be declared as 'Not qualified' and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) objective question Paper consists of 100 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. Of these, 80 will be from the chosen technical subject and 20 will be from English communication. The question paper will be in English only.

Eligibility

The following are the basic prerequisites for candidates:

A full-time degree from any recognized University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% or first class for M.Tech. degree programmes

(Candidates appearing for their final degree exam/ final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply)

Must have 60% and above or equivalent CGPA in 10th, 12th / Diploma / UG / PG degree

Pattern of the Question Paper

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) objective question Paper consists of 100 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. Of these, 80 will be from the chosen technical subject and 20 will be from English communication. There are no negative marks for wrong answers.
