Eligibility
1. There is NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION.
2. Applicants who have studied through regular, full-time and formal education are eligible to apply.
3. Students who have appeared for their standard XII examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their passing certificate by the notified date.
Nationality
The applicant should be either a Resident Indian National or a Non-Resident Indian National.
Age Limit
1. Applicants born on or after 01.07.2005 are eligible to apply for B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture programme for the academic year 2025
2. Applicants must present Age Proof (Birth certificate / Passport Copy) as proof of their age during counselling/admission. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the admission process.
Qualifying Examination
1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or any other Board accepted by VIT as equivalent to 10+2 examination.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
4. High School Certificate Examination at the Advanced (A) level of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
5. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board.
6. Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India should produce an equivalence certificate to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage.
7. Candidates who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.
Subject Eligibility
1. A pass with an overall aggregate of 70% with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology (Botany & Zoology)/ Agriculture as subjects in the qualifying examination mentioned above.
2. In case, applicants belong to SC/ST community or hail from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, 10% relaxation is provided (i.e.,) 60% minimum aggregate as per the condition, in the qualifying examination mentioned above. Certificate to prove community, Nativity should be produced at the time of counselling failing which they will not be considered for admission.
