The Integrated M.Tech. program at VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) is a distinguished 5-year course tailored for students who have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) with a strong foundation in science, particularly in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Admission is based on 10+2 marks, with no entrance exam required. M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering - 5 year Integrated

The Integrated M.Tech. (CSE) is a Virtusa Collaborative programme distinctly designed to cater the diverse needs of IT industries. Students in this programme are trained in the cutting edge technologies within a span of 5 years. The early level courses come up with a core foundations of computer engineering and the later stage students will specialize in advanced fields. The program also provides a perfect blend of both theoretical, lab and project based learning for most the latest technologies such as Full Stack development, AI&ML, IOT, Cloud Computing, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, etc.,

M.Tech - Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) - 5 year integrated

The demand for data science experts is on the growing trend as the need to handle volumes of data is constantly increasing across all domains. From a start-up to a multinational corporation, every organisation relies on data scientists for proper usage of the huge amount of data they gather. This program is designed with an aim to equip the students to learn, understand and practice on the technologies related to data science and machine learning approaches, with a focus on rendering solutions to industrial applications. This integrated program is designed with an objective to offer the fundamental concepts of computer science and engineering and advanced subjects related to data science applications, which will offer a better placement opportunity to students. Started in the year 2019, the programme is offered by the Department of Database Systems from the School of Computer Science and Engineering. The course will focus on subjects in the data science, machine learning, and algorithmic principles and would offer an opportunity for a clear understanding of related tools on data science domain.

M.Tech Software Engineering (5 Year Integrated Programme)

This 5-year integrated postgraduate programme offers a project-rich learning experience, preparing students to solve real-life societal problems using software engineering methodologies. Students have the opportunity to select courses from a well-balanced mix of foundational subjects, skill-based training, industry verticals, and emerging technologies. The programme's faculty members emphasize guiding students in innovative projects and research, fostering a strong orientation towards cutting-edge advancements.

Integrated M.Tech. Artificial Intelligence

  • The M.Tech. Artificial Intelligence programme is a five year course. Direct Admission to this M.Tech course is after 10+2, without an entrance exam.
  • It is a multi-degree course comprising of B.Tech in AI degree and M.Tech in AI degree, designed to help students acquire the industry standards saving six to twelve months.
  • The specialization in AI, understudies will likewise have alternative to investigate some connected spaces, for example, computer vision, normal dialect handling, mechanical technology, programming examination, and computerized reasoning.
  • A graduate completing this program will be able to solve the industry problems using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
  • Gain proficiency with the latest devices and procedures which are being utilized by experts, because of the coordinated effort of VIT Bhopal University with applicable ventures.

Integrated M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security)

  • The M.Tech. CSE (Cyber Security) programme is a five-year course. Direct admission to this M.Tech course is after 10+2, without an entrance exam.
  • It is a multi-degree course comprising of B.Tech. and M.Tech degrees in Cyber Security, designed to help students acquire the industry standards saving six to twelve months.
  • It is designed to meet the huge demand of security professionals in near future while facilitating the young budding engineers through latest technologies and real-time projects.
  • The programme is strategically designed to provide hands-on experience on prevention, detection and recovery tools to safeguard the confidential information.

M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering (Computational and Data Science)

Computational Science has emerged as one of the niche areas in Computer Science education. This M.Tech course is designed for students who would like to become Computer Science Engineers specializing in Computational and Data Science (CDS). The study of Computational Science (i.e. Computational Systems Science) involves mastering the design, development and analysis of computational systems of high performance, distributed, cloud, parallel, scalable software and hardware. Likewise the study of Data Science involves mastering Big Data Analysis, Image Analysis, Data Visualization, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.


Application Process

New User Registration

  • Valid e-mail address and active mobile number are required.
  • Enter all the relevant details carefully.
  • An OTP will be sent to your Registered Indian Mobile Number for verification.
  • Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered email address.
  • All the correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only.

  • Valid e-mail address and active mobile number are required.

Filling online Application Form

  • Fill in the relevant fields carefully. An Application Number will be generated after filling primary details.
  • Refer this application number in all your future correspondence

Payment

  • Payment cost of Rs. 600/- should be paid through Netbanking /Credit card/Debit card/Paytm.
  • Application cost is non-refundable

Photo uploading procedure:

The photograph must be in color and should be taken professionally in a studio with the following specifications:

  • The photograph must be taken against a light background. Only White/off-white background is preferred.
  • The photograph must show the full frontal view without tilting of face, both ears visible, open eyes with neutral expression.
  • Make sure there is no glare from spectacles and no blur in the focus.
  • The file should be only in JPEG format.
  • The file size of the photograph should be within 20 kB to 300 kB.
  • The photograph dimension should be of Width(300 to 400 pixels) X Height (400 to 550 pixels).
  • The photograph should not be too dark or too bright but should have optimum exposure.
  • The photograph should have only one face.

Signature uploading procedure:

  • Please draw a rectangular box of size 6 cm (width) X 2 cm (height) on a A4 white paper. Sign with dark blue or black pen within the box.
  • Scan the signature in (.jpeg) format using scanner and crop the image.
  • You can open the scanned signature image with MS Paint and crop the image at the particular rectangular box which was already marked and signed on the A4 white paper.
  • While cropping the image make sure that the dimension should be 3.5 cm (width) X 1.5 cm (height).
  • The scanned signature image size should be within 5kB to 150 kB.

  • Download and save the filled-in application for your reference and further correspondence.
  • Applicants do not need to send a hard copy of the completed application form to VIT.

Admission Guidelines

Admission Procedure

  • Applications are processed in the order of merit, based on the aggregate of marks (rounded to 2 decimal points) secured in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the +2 / Higher Secondary & Intermediate Examination.
  • In case the Normalization Marks are same, the order of merit will be decided based on the best scores in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry sequentially, also based on total obtained scores in all subjects.
  • Short listed applicants list will be published on 04.06.2025 (Tentative) after that, applicants can give their campus and program preferences on 04.06.2025 to 06.06.2025 (i.e., Applicants can give “n” number of choices)
  • Seat will be allotted based on Rank, Preference of Campus, Programme (Subject to availability).
  • Once Allotment is done on 10.06.2025 (Campus, Programme), it cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  • Selected applicants will receive their Provisional Admission Letter to pay their Tuition Fees through online mode on or before 20.06.2024. (Friday).

Eligibility

Nationality

  • The applicants for admission should be a Resident Indian National and should have studied in regular, full time and formal education schools located in India in the preceding two years. (10 +2 year)

NRI/ Foreigners

Eligibility Criteria for VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP & VIT Bhopal

General Eligibility

  • (i) VIT-Vellore and VIT-Chennai Campus:
    A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
  • (ii) VIT - AP and VIT Bhopal Campus:
    A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).

For SC/ST, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and North Eastern states:

  • VIT-Vellore and VIT-Chennai Campus
    The Qualifying Marks is relaxed by 10% i.e. 60% in PCM for applicants belong to SC/ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura.
  • VIT - AP and VIT Bhopal Campus:
    The Qualifying Marks is relaxed by 10% i.e. 55% in PCM for applicants belong to SC/ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura.

Important notes

  • Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.
  • Applicants belonging to SC/ST category should submit community certificate.
  • Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. They should submit Nativity Certificate.
